Choosing “Yes” or “No” will not affect the status of your Form 2290 return in any way.

The IRS can execute the disclosure of information if you choose “Yes,” even if you are a tax professional filing Form 2290 on behalf of your client.

If you choose “Yes” to Disclose your tax information while paper-filing your Form 2290, you will be required to provide your Employer Identification Number (EIN), signature, and date.

You will not be required to do this while filing your Form 2290 with ExpressTruckTax. You have to choose “Yes” to disclose your tax information and enter any five digits as your pin to authorize the IRS to share the vehicle information you provide with the DOT, CBP, and DMV. The five-digit PIN you provide here need not be the same as the five-digit pin you enter to e-file your Form 2290.
