Snack Baskets

Organization is a key part of keeping life on the road running smoothly. The snacks that don’t need to be stored in a cooler need their own place. Your trucker can have their favorite snacks within reach with a variety of snack baskets.

Seat Organizer

While we’re on the topic of organization, let’s talk about seat organizers! This will help your trucker keep the things they need most within reach during long trips. Whether it is their wallet, phone, or important documents, they will never be lost under their seat again!

Comfy Seat Cushion

Your trucker is sitting and driving for LONG stretches of time, this can wreak havoc on his or her back. Give them the gift of a cozy seat cushion this year. It will give them some extra back support and make the miles go by a little smoother!

120 Piece First Aid Kit

Minor cuts, scrapes, and burns beware! With this first aid kit, your trucker will be prepared for the misadventures of life on the road.

An Anti-Sleep Alarm

Did You Know A Driver Shortage Is In Effect Right Now?

Of course, we all may be aware that there is a large workforce shortage happening all over America right now. Help Wanted posters are hung up on the front doors of almost every restaurant, retail shop, and business around, but did you realize that there’s a shortage of truck drivers as well?

Since the country has opened back up earlier this year, not many people have returned to work. This has caused a shortage of new truck drivers to assist in delivering important products throughout America.

Although the decline of drivers has stopped as people begin coming back to work, the lack of eligible drivers is still in effect and may cause delays or shortages of different goods.

What Does This Mean?

This means that truckers have been working extra hard to make up for the shortage of help. America still relies on truckers to transport important goods like food and medical supplies to all of us, so not having as many drivers on the road as we’re used to will limit how much goods can be transported.

With the decline of truckers on the road, it is difficult for companies to increase their volume of transport since there are not enough drivers to deliver it. This may be the cause of shortages at grocery stores, retail stores, and restaurants.

Many of these drivers are also transporting important disinfecting items and medical supplies to keep battling COVID-19 like hand sanitizers, masks, vaccines, and much more. Without the continued efforts from these drivers, many hospitals would not have the supplies needed to continue to battle this illness.

Thank A Truck Driver!

Our country is extremely reliant on truck drivers to continue to keep this country moving forward! The truckers that are out there working tirelessly to keep stores and restaurants stocked need to know that their hard work is much appreciated!

Everyone here at ExpressTruckTax would like to thank all of the drivers out there for their continued hard work during these difficult times. Your dedication and resilience are very much appreciated by all of us!

Last Minute Father’s Day Gifts For Truckers

Father’s day is almost here so we hope you have the day off to spend at home with your kids, or that the trucking dad in your life will be there. Heck, some of you might be from a generation of truckers, who learned everything you know about driving for your pops. If you haven’t gotten your dad a gift yet check out these last minute ideas.

Gift Ideas For Trucking Dads

First of all, you can save your dad some money. He needs to file his 2290 soon and he can use the promo code FATHERSDAY17 to get 10% of filing his return. This discount lasts until Monday the 17th.

These gift ideas are a little less emotional than Mother’s Day gifts. Dads are the ones who teach us how to ride bikes and to heal our wounds by rubbing some dirt in it, they want stuff that’s cool, funny, or that they actually need!

Tech wise you could blow your dad’s mind by getting him a dash cam to record all the close calls he sees on the road. Then instead of trying to describe how two cars barely missed hitting each other or how he saw a really cool dog on a motorcycle, he can show you!

Your dad probably drinks coffee because you tired him out when you were younger, and now he’s addicted. Why not surprise him with a portable coffee pot for his rig so he can brew coffee at any time?

Along with that coffee pot be sure to include a mug that supports his favorite sports team or a funny saying to show off.  “I just dropped a load” and “I don’t always fill out a log book, but when I do it’s made up” are funny examples that are also found on t-shirts.

Another good idea might be to get your dad a super cool wireless headset that he can use to answer phone calls head free. When you aren’t talking to him he will still need something to listen to though, so maybe you could introduce your old man to podcasts. There are shows about almost everything from sports to trucking and even murder mysteries.

Don’t forget about how your dad needs entertainment for when he’s parked overnight too. Consider getting him a wifi hotspot so he can play computer games or watch Netflix. There are some awesome manly shows he can stream like the Vikings, Ice Road Truckers, House of Cards, and more.

Men don’t like shopping for themselves, so if you pick up something your dad needs for him then it’s like two gifts in one. See if he needs a new electric shaver to keep his awesome trucking beard maintained, a new pair of polarized sunglasses, a more comfortable seat cushion, etc.

You know your pops likes to eat, he has his dad bod to maintain. Go ahead and get him a stash of his favorite chips, candy, and more to enjoy on the road. You could also plan a dinner or breakfast at his favorite restaurant to give him a good meal after all the skimping he’s had to do with fast food on the road.

Happy Father’s Day

No one knows your dad better than you do, we’re sure you’ll find the perfect gift to show him how much he means to you. We would like to take a moment to thank all dads out there, for teaching your kids everything you know and crafting perfect drivers! Also, remember that the sooner to pre-file your 2290 the better!
